Paths
How unique are you in the world? Answer questions and find out your path probability, corresponding population percentage, and the number of people with your same path.
Paths is an interactive simulator that visualizes your “line path” through 16 characteristic-based questions. By answering each question, you will discover the specific percentage of the global population that shares your attributes and determine the estimated number of people worldwide who share your unique path.
Paths assumes that all character-based population proportions are independent of one another. While this assumption may be inaccurate to some extent, we presume that the total population proportions do not deviate significantly from the conditional probability of one characteristic given another characteristic. These results represent a baseline estimation intended to illustrate general population distributions. Paths is designed for your entertainment and should not be utilized to definitively or precisely predict character-based population probabilities.
The path probability tracks the likelihood of your specific selection out of all potential outcomes as you answer each question. Given that Paths consists of 16 questions with two possible answers each, there are 65,536 possible unique paths!
Each question in Paths requires a "yes" or "no" response, with every answer corresponding to a specific percentage of the global population. In cases where sources provide different yet similar data for a characteristic, we utilize the mean average of those figures to provide a more reliable estimate.
As you progress through the 16 questions, your individual share of the global population is calculated cumulatively by multiplying the percentage associated with each of your responses. Your percent of total global population is displayed as you answer each question.
Upon completion, you will receive a final probability representing the portion of humanity that shares your combined characteristics. This percentage is then applied to the current global population, providing an estimation of how many people worldwide share your exact path.
Current global population used in the calculation:
